|Festive. Simple. Healthy. Delicious!|
ALSO, a fantastic treat for the KIDS!
A healthy alternative to ice pops loaded with artificial coloring and sugar! Let the kids even try to make them on their own, as the recipe does not require anything dangerous or too technical. No stove, oven or knives- kids can feel like they are great little chefs or helpers!
Ingredients: Coconut water, Strawberries, Raspberries, Blueberries, Blackberries
Recipe: Place berries in pop mold, pour in coconut water and FREEZE…Simple!
Alternative Idea: Put in ice-cube trays to make flavored cubes for “spa water”
Coconut water–Helps with weight-loss, as it is an appetite suppressant! Great for the skin (which is why it is commonly found in facial oils, shampoos and conditioners). Is the ultimate hangover remedy, as it is loaded with vitamins (like potassium) and electrolytes! Also, great to settle your stomach, as it helps to facilitate digestion… Boosts hydration, making it the perfect base for a pop when out in the SUMMER SUN!
Strawberries, Raspberries, Blueberries, Blackberries-
Sugar is SUGAR and when really trying to lose weight, it is best to stay away from sugar–Yes, including too much fruit! I always tell my clients if they want to have fruit (even when being more strict on their diet) BERRIES, like these, are the BEST choices! Why?…Because these fruits are low on the glycemic index, meaning they will not spike your insulin/blood sugar levels.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the contest! The Balanced Beauty received so many beautiful/festive entries that the final selection was not easy! Judges unanimously felt this summer treat, hit all the categories for a Balanced Beauty win!
