Hi Beauties!

As 2020 comes to an end, I wanted to take some time to get personal and share with you a teaching very important to me in shifting perspectives and facing fears, to become the best version of yourself.

I hope my experiences and personal beliefs resonate with whoever reads this and helps you level-up as we head into 2021; THE AGE OF AQUARIUS— of enlightenment, new beginnings and the age of TRUTH.

Coach Aly “Story Time”:

When I was very young, I was in Atlantic City with my family…

I remember, it wasn’t summer or warm but were walking along the boardwalk, getting salt water taffy and popcorn. The beach was empty. The wind was intense. I remember hobbling onto the beach, with my hood covering my eyes and I could barely see.

We were chasing seagulls and running around as kids do…Until someone (who shall remain nameless) told me to make a ring of my popcorn around myself & stand in the middle of the circle.

Cool idea, I thought….So I did it.

Moments later, every single seagull on the beach surrounded me! I was trapped!! I was terrified. I remember screaming and trying to run out of the circle. Being so little, this was no easy feat.

This person had no intention of scaring me— they thought it would be a fun way for me to “play with the birds” instead of chasing them… But ever since this experience, I HATED birds. I couldn’t even go in a pet store without being freaked out by the sound of chirping…

YEARS LATER- my high school had a hypnotist perform. I raised my hand in the audience to participate and got called up on stage to be one of the “victims” to do silly things in front of my peers….

One of the first things the hypnotist instructed the group to do, was to wake up and notice a pretty bird sitting perched on our fingers. You would imagine, like a fairy tale, people would wake up in awe to play and pet their birds. I on the other hand, FREAKED OUT and smashed my finger so hard on the metal chair it was sore for days.

I had a bird problem.

My whole life I was in fear—

That was until around 2012, I reached a turning point in my life– I was in a place where I felt like I wasn’t living up to my full potential and I wanted things to be different…better and more in-alignment with my personal dreams and desires from where I was….

I made it a personal goal to tackle things holding me back from feeling happy and free.

Funny enough, a fear of birds from my childhood was somehow linked and connected to other subconscious fears that had developed throughout my teenage, college years and into adulthood… Not “birds”exactly, but feelings of being controlled, trapped, and scared to break out. As silly as it may sound, the experience with the birds became symbolic of something I needed to confront.

I share this story because many of my clients don’t realize it— but come to find later, they are subconsciously holding onto things from their past (mostly from childhood) — beliefs, fears, traumas (some much more daunting than silly birds) that transform into anxiety and blocks later in life. These fears, anxieties and blocks really are what hold them back from being their most confident, happy and best versions of themselves.

An event or “ trauma“ we experience is really something created to teach us what we need to learn. Our soul needs the lesson to evolve— so different lessons will come through various forms our whole life until we confront the main issue head-on.

My “lesson” started with birds, and continued to evolve in others scenarios, experiences and situations until I connected the dots to see the pattern and learn the lessons underneath.

Was I creating my own limitations and negative life experiences through my fears? The answer was a loud, YES!

Fast-forward to today— When I slip into meditation, I ALWAYS see a bird.

It flies across my minds-eye to show me I am entering a new world (what I call a spirit world)… to see, visualize, manifest and create. The bird is like my opening credits of a movie— It’s pretty incredible that seeing it signifies that I will now slip into a place of rest and peace, after years of this symbolizing the exact opposite.

I realized the bird was part of my lesson to “be free.” The bird also symbolizes leaving darkness and entering into the light —

I share my personal story with you to know, when you confront and face your fears, you will be lead on a path to being your best self. You may even discover and unlock parts of yourself that are magical and capable of extraordinary things. This only comes from being brave, focused and willing to release, let-go and allow this evolution of your spirit to unfold. It takes work and practice… The way you build muscle in the gym, is the same way our brain works to initiate real change. It takes repetition, focus, dedication and time.

Through work with my clients, we do this together. Peeling back layers, healing and facing fears is something that is part of self-love and life-changing transformation.

This work is not always easy but it is necessary. It is inevitable for most.

As we enter this “Aquarian Age,” many are feeling the pull and call to go deeper, to make real substantial changes and to WAKE UP.

If 2020 showed us anything, it is that old routines, belief systems and thought processes are outdated and they no longer serve us. The need for new ways of thinking-and-doing are here and we are responsible to raise our consciousness and create an amazing world for future generations to come.

There is so much change taking place very rapidly on our planet right now. It’s important for each and every one of us to rise-up, dig-deep, get honest, be authentic, and make healthy choices to ensure YOU are contributing positively in your families, work places and society.

Making healthy choices includes facing and tackling your fears!

…As you do this, and release negativity and blocks, you shift your energetic vibration. This heals you —and in turn, heals all who know you and are linked to you.

  • Your choices can make a difference, not just for you, but for the greater good.
  • You matter.
  • Your lessons matter.
  • Your voice and experiences matter.

In 2021, I urge you to believe in yourself- get honest and get free by confronting the things holding you back from feeling completely in-control of your choices and your life…

When you do, amazing things will unfold. It is also a first step to getting on a path that will lead you to your own personal fulfillment and well-being.

“In December of 2020, we are in for the beginning of a new age, as Saturn and Jupiter will be aligning in the sign of Aquarius. This alignment is so significant because it means we’ll continue to have these two planets come together in air signs until 2059. This alignment is in contrast to the intense Capricorn stellium that took place back in January (and kicked off the rise of global pandemic), during which Jupiter, Saturn, and several other significant points and planets were clustered together in rule-oriented Capricorn.

But the energy that these planets will express through an air sign like Aquarius differs greatly from the traditional and authoritative vibe they brought forth in Capricorn, which is the sign they resided in during the start of the year. Air signs represent intellect and ideas, and Aquarius is the sign of innovation, technology, and revolution,” Astrologer Samadhi says. While this alignment is unarguably going to be intense, the Aquarian focus on collective well-being, logical thought, and innovative growth feels like a breath of fresh air — and it could deliver some much-needed glimmers of hope for the future.”
